HOW TO BE EXCELLENT TEACHER

            Some of teachers do not have good tactics or skills for being good teacher. Because some teachers do not think that students would understand or not. But actually the case is so many students do not enjoy the class and understand whole of your explanation. Therefore I would give some tactics and skills which you have to learn and become expertly. We know that become excellent teacher are not to be easy. So I would give some tactics and skills which can improve your competence in teaching.
Tactics and skills that you have to do are giving advantages of lesson (motivate), memories all of student’s names quickly, maintain peace in the classroom, giving the rule in class and define consequences when broke the rule, asking about basics before teaching a topic in deep, using technology, making group discussion, creating competition in a positive aspect, assign relevant homework, giving quizzes.
            The first tactics that should be known by teacher is giving motivation or explain the advantages of studying this lesson. Some teacher may ignore this tactics because they do not think in deep how useful of this tactic. This can make students interested in lesson which you would explain.  This also would make students wait for continuing study about the lesson. I think teachers should use this tactic when they start or firstly teaching students.
            The second skill which teachers should expert is they have to memories all of student’s names quickly. Some teachers might think memories students’ names are not important but students would think that teachers do not care about their activities in class and do not care what happened to the students. Teacher also would difficult to give score (addition score depend on daily activities in class). So this should do as good teacher who care for students.
            The third skill is how teacher must be maintain peace in the classroom. Techer must able to maintain peace in the classroom because students feel confident when they study in good situation. As good teachers must able to maintain peace in class for students’ comfortable.
            Next, teacher should give the rule in class and define consequences when broke the rule. As wikiHow wrote in article that you should have 3-5 rules that the students know about. These are the rules that, when broken, are subject to the consequence scheme outlined above. Try allowing the class to suggest the ground rules: have a class discussion and write ideas, it makes the class feel they are listened to and that you care about their opinions and input while also setting some groundwork that they will feel loyal to because they've made it. Act as a mediator to make sure that the rules decided upon are appropriate. Some may be, for instance, be quiet when the teacher is talking, respect each other, and finish the homework and classwork. Besides give the rule in class, teacher should define consequences when broke the rule. As wikiHow wrote in article “Set specific consequences for breaking the rules. Decide what those consequences are and then implement them consistently. Your consequences should follow a procedure that starts with a non-verbal signal (such as just looking at the student), to a verbal signal (asking the student to please stop talking), to a verbal warning (if this continues there will be consequences), to the implementation of the consequence. The consequences are up to you and depend on the program of the school. Many schools have a detention system (students do despise detentions), or perhaps writing lines, or sitting away from other students. Those should apply for giving the line to students’ activities in the class.
            Then, the important skill that teacher should expert is asking about basics before teaching a topic in deep. Before teacher start teach students, they should ask question to students about basics of the lessons. When they always ask students to explain about basics of the lessons, this is would interest students for studying lessons before begin lessons in the classroom. Besides we would begin lessons smoothly from the basics. Thus would make students easy to understand the lessons. Knowing all of the reasons so it is the important skill which teacher should apply in the classroom.
            Next tools that should apply in the class is technology. In this modern era there are so many technology which create to the human needed. Some of teachers may should up to date about all of technology that can help their progress for teaching. As Prof. Shelagh Heffernan wrote on his article about (39 Tips on what makes a good lecture) “Technology is a great asset but use it when appropriate. It isn't a replacement or substitute for being a good lecturer. Students really appreciate having material in the format of on-line lectures. If the CitySpace page has a constant supply of new material, students will tend look at it regularly, which helps increase their engagement. IT in the classroom changes rapidly. Keep up to date on what is available/what best suits the needs of students by speaking with E-learning (level 1 in the Cass LRC) and reading the T&L Newsletter.” The reasons above explain a few the advantages of using technology to the students that can improve understanding all of material in the lessons. This skill also significant to apply in the classroom.
            Besides using technology in the class teacher sometimes should make groups discussion. Why making groups discussion is important to learn? The answers is because making group discussion would give opportunities to students for giving question to other students. Prof. Shelagh Heffernan also wrote in article (39 Tips on what makes a good lecturer) that Let them Debate: Students learn better while debating as opposed to listening.  Before lecturing students on what a firm should do in a particular case study, I ask them what they think. As in most real life situations there is generally no one obvious solution. Students tend to have different ideas regarding how the firm should act. I like to let the students argue their points and try to convince their class mates. This exercise enables them to learn how to use facts, theory and their experiences to formulate an argument.  Also it teaches them the fine balance between persistence (to keep on arguing their point) and flexibility (to change their minds in the face of convincing arguments). Most important: when I tell them a potentially more effective way to think about the issue, they listen very carefully. Let them Debate: Students learn better while debating as opposed to listening.  Before lecturing students on what a firm should do in a particular case study, I ask them what they think. Students need to feel comfortable asking questions and they are often highly valuable. But don’t get side tracked and/or allow them to cause loss of focus. If you get a bizarre question which is unrelated to what you are covering or if one question prompts a flood, say you will discuss it after class, or it will be covered in a minute. All of those statement are explain how important group discussion in the class.
            Making group discussion in the class would be significant but it would not perfect when there is no creating competition in a positive aspect in the class. Creating competition in the class is important when students get down or boring about all of learning systems. In this moment teacher have to creating competition in the class for arousing of students’ enthusiasm to study more. In addition students would make competition to learn whole of lessons that have learned. This tactics interesting to apply in the class by teachers.
            Furthermore, teachers must assign relevant homework. This act would appreciate all of students’ homework in each every meeting. Teachers give students homework, but they do not want to assign or giving score students’ homework. These would give negative effect to students that students would not do their homework more. The best is teacher must assign all of students’ homework for being good relation among students and teachers.
            Next once that teachers should do are giving quizzes. Not every meeting giving quiz to the students but only at the last meeting at semester or each every meeting. Giving quiz to students would test ability to understand of lessons which have taught before. Teacher would know how good students in understanding the lessons.
            In conclusion, there some skills, tactics, and tools which teacher needed to teach students. They are giving advantages of lesson (motivate), memories all of student’s names quickly, maintain peace in the classroom, giving the rule in class and define consequences when broke the rule, asking about basics before teaching a topic in deep, using technology, making group discussion, creating competition in a positive aspect, assign relevant homework, giving quizzes. All of them are useful to help teachers in teaching and students to understand all of lessons.
